If you work retail, Sundays can be difficult to get off. But when you do get a Sunday off, you relish in it. This morning, while I my first cup of coffee, I sat in the living talking to my mom. We usually talking about life, and what we expect from the week ahead. This morning, we talked about our personal relationship with Christ. We talked in depth of our individual walk with Him. Talks like this make my heart lighten a burden that it may have been carrying, or it just released tension of, “What am I doing wrong?” And, “What can I do to make it right?”

So now, that I’m on my second cup of coffee, and currently reading Malice by John Gwynne. I feel like I can focus on myself, and not worry about what lies ahead. And after talking with my mom this morning, I feel at peace that no matter what happens this week, that God is with me. That’s all the encouragement I need to breathe, and relax.

Stepping out of my comfort zone

Life always begins with one step outside of your comfort zone.

The picture you see above is a picture of me at Barnes and Noble the other day. And on this particular day, I woke up feeling…Different. like I wanted to challenge myself to do something that I would not like doing, and that taking a picture of myself. I don’t like to, but I thought, with the new year, that I would change it up a bit! So, I went to a place where I felt comfortable. I’m sure the lady down the aisle wondered what I was doing, when she saw me setting up for this, haha. But, I snapped a few pictures, and pondered the one that was suited best. And, as you can see, this one won.

Another thing that made me step out of my comfort zone, is this. A manga called Cased Closed by Gosho Aoyama. I had no idea this existed until my dear friend and coworker, Katherine, recommended it to me. Kat, if you’re reading this, thank you!

I wouldn’t have picked it up, but since I’ve trying been widening my reading options, I thought I’d give it a go…And I don’t regret it one bit!

Don’t get me wrong, I still love my comfort zone like anyone would, and I go back it all the time. But sometimes, stepping out and trying something new isn’t a bad idea either. As long as the new something doesn’t get you into trouble 😜

An Introduction of Me

Hello all! I thought that I needed an introduction so, my followers can know a little bit more about me, and the blog I run.

First off, My name is Emma Grace. I’m twenty-three years old, and live in the hot state of Arizona. I’m a Christian, and will always be. I have two older sisters, and parents who I absolutely love with my heart. I have two dogs, three cats, two guinea pigs, and a horse…Sounds like a Zoo, I know!

The expectation that I hope to bring for this blog, is lots of books, and inspiration to everyone that reads 😁

Just wanted to make a short introductory about myself! Looking forward to getting to know you all as well!

Happy New Year

I guess this will be my first blog post…

I honestly couldn’t tell you my New Year’s resolutions because I barely remember 2018. I remember reading Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman, and The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. But, I read those at the beginning of the year.

I’ve lost people in my life, as well as gained new people in my life.

I dont have any resolutions because I didn’t see the point of making any…Well…Maybe write more, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves 😜

2018 was hard, but it was a blessing in disguise. I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for my life in 2019
